Whenever performing mouth to mouth
rescuscitation on a non breathing casualty, the best way to
prevent the spread of infection to yourself and others is
through the use of a face shield or pocket mask with a one-way
valve built in.
A disposable mask is used once, and then
thrown away. The advantages include compact size, rapid
assembly and economy. This is ideal for someone who has taken
one of our courses, and would like to be prepared in the event
of an emergency. Our model also c omes with a convenient
carrying pouch and latex gloves to protect the rescuer from
contacting bodily fluids originating from the casualty.
A re-useable face mask is able to be
cleaned and disinfected, ready for use again. The one-way
valve is disposable and replacements may be purchased. This is
ideal for storage in a first aid kit, in the house or for
people who have a high likelyhood of us ing it, on several
occasions(ie. police officer, lifeguard, fire fighter, school
staff).
