The
mission of St. John Ambulance is to enhance health, safety and quality
of life through training and community service. The Kitchener-Waterloo
Branch is your link to First Aid, CPR and many other life-saving
programs. St. John Ambulance volunteers provide First Aid at many
community events and contribute over 10,000 hours of community support
annually.
Funds
raised by this year's Marathon will assist St. John Ambulance
will help us serve the community better and to support new initiatives
such as CPR in schools and Public Access Defibrilation.
RACE CHAIRPERSON: Brent McFarlane is the Honorary Chair for the 6th
annual St. John Half Marathon. Brent was the Head Coach for the
Canadian Track & Field Team attending the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

STEP 1:
REGISTER TODAY
Complete the registration form and send it to the St. John Office, 250
Gage Ave., Kitchener, ON, N2M 2C8. Register by phone: (519)579-5451,
fax: (519)579-6320, or www.eventsonline.ca/events/sjamarathon
Entry deadline is Tuesday
April 20th, 2004 at 5:00pm. Entries received after this
date are not guaranteed an official race time or T-shirt.
Entry fee is $40.00 per individual for the Half Marathon and $35.00 for
the 5km race. The entry fee includes a T-Shirt, after run
refreshments and snacks and possibly a post-race massage.

Marathon finishers will receive a hand-made clay medallion

only will there be individual prizes but also a grand prize for the

STEP 3: RACE KIT
can be picked up at St. John Ambulance, 250 Gage Ave,
Kitchener, ON. Saturday April 24th 9:00am-12:00 pm, and at the
Registration Desk on race day from 8 am at RIM park, Waterloo.
We offer ChampionChip Timing Technology for our Half
Marathon and 5 km races.
